I've enjoyed both...but the smoke-filled Blues joints have more atmosphere....
Don't care for the smoke filled rooms, but I like both and prefer Blues over jazz.

Smoke filled Blues Room, and I'll tell you why...of course!!! An intimate evening out is guaranteed in this atmosphere...handholding, smooching, sweet nothings in his ear, uh, should I go on? Darkness, candlelight thingy on the table...WHO cares about the smoke...if you want a smoke-free romantic place, it'd best be your own back yard!
