Is this against gas station policy?!

Question: not taking off a motorcycle helmet in a gas station store inside.

Answers: not taking off a motorcycle helmet in a gas station store inside.

in many places it is illegal to wear anything that covers most of your face unless it is religious or to protect yourself (cold, motorcycle riding, medical reasons). it is supposed to deter crime so people cant walk around hiding their identity and robbing places.

i don't know

Yes, you could be mistaken as a robber.

Prob not you might look a little weird though

no way... if they can basically rape your wallet for gas, you can wear what you want on your head.

Um...good question. I wouldn't think so.

ive done it before...no one said anything about it.

I think not but it's just a matter of opinion.
A person might be paranoid that the reason why someone is hiding behind a helmet is that they are gonna do something bad.

yes it is...you can not wear it inside

Not that I heard. But with all the robberies happen it just might be safer for you and the store employees. They might mistake you for a robber and be ready to shoot you. Precaution, just take it off.

Hmmmm. I would think that you should take it off inside.

When I worked at one, no one was allowed to have anything covering their face. If you're not robbing them, just take it off.

It's not a policy. It's for security. They want you to take off the helmet so that the camera will have a clear picture of you.

it could be for security purposes so they can get a clear shot of your face in case you were to do something illegal. So yea, i would say its against policy to wear a face covering in a store

I think it is the policy, considering that they need to see your whole face when your walking up to the cash register

Well, a "policy" is not a law, it is a a rule that an individual gas station has. Most policies like that wouldn't even be in writing. So nobody here knows the answer for the gas station that you're talking about. We don't even know what gas station it is, let alone what it's policy is.

it matter if your buying sometin'

no,lol

Possibly for the fact they might be afraid you are going to rob them.

Yes, it is. In case you wanted to rob them, the camera couldn't get your face.

I would say yes.Ive rode motorcycles over 30 years and never entered a store of any kind with my helmet on.

some states it is a crime to obscure your identity with any kind of mask
all stores have a right to refuse service to anyone deemed undesirable as long as it doesn't violate their civil rights

So they can get your face on camera. They don't know if you're going to rob them or just pay for your gas. Big Brother is always watching!

Something that covers your face like a motorcycle helmet can be mistaken for a disguise and cashiers can find that disconcerting. Take it off when you have to go inside the store.

Yup and in Halloween sometimes they make you take off your mask if you are wearing them

i dont think so, if you have your motorcycle outside and youre getting gas, then i dont think that theyd think you were a robber

Are you serious? You can wear whatever the hell you want in the gas station.

If someone did mistake you for a robber and tried to have you arrested, you could probably sue them. It's not like you had any weapons on you or they had probable cause, they would just be jumping at something suspicious. But then again, you could just take it off. Unless you're trying to hide your helmet hair...

It's like any common courtesy, take ur hat off when entering a building...we don't seem to do that any longer.
Plus, yes, I think it may intimidate a cashier...think about how u would feel standing there.

It may not be against a particular station's policy, but as a matter of courtesy and respect I would recommend it, otherwise it may look like you're trying to hide your face, as if you were planning to rob them.

Many stores have a policy against face covering of any kind. Many store clerks are warned to set off the alarm if anyone enters and their facial details are hidden from cameras.
