Question: ...I have been going down memory lane this week, thanks for all the answers, even my young fans had fun and I enjoyed this. For the older ones...Why were the things made so much better "back then" ? Was it that more time went into things? Better quality? What do you think? thanks for answers

Lean manufacturing is the way things go now. Getting it done at a cheaper cost means better profits cause the cost of things don't go down, they keep rising. Unfortunately they skimp on the quality if it can yeild better profits. It sucks but thats the way it goes. What scares me is how things will be in the future!!!
