Excuse Me Sir or Madam...What Method Would You (Seriously) Use to Convince Your !

Question: that Christmas Bonuses ARE called for?

Well, maybe not so seriously...I am asking this for my best friend. She has tried the black mini, hose with a seam up the back and the tight red sweater. Still no talk of bonuses....what would you do to convince your employer?

I don't think I can say "I hope that is reflected in my Christmas bonus . . ". I'm for sure wearing a tube top till Christmas though. ?

thankfully i dont have to convince my employer!!! we gets ours next week!!

good question. last yr we got smaller than usual bonus an this yr we are gettin non. what's up w/ dat??

my company turned a 1.4 billion dollar profit, THATS why we deserve a bonus

How about doing your job the very best you can, including the little "extras" that make things go more smoothly, then when he mentions what a good job you're doing...tell him "I hope that is reflected in my Christmas Bonus!"
Good Luck!

The Pull Out Method

Tell her to swallow her pride...and accept a little help from those who are willing to make her happy.

Stamps and money mean nothing

serious..

I would tell your friend to get another job.

try using their profits as an argument. i don't have to worry bout that cause my company gives out bonuses.

record profits are just around the corner if staff have good motivation for the new year

Mine keep saying that since we have a woman who is a Jehova's Witness that it would "offend her".

I don't need to convince my employer.

I only started getting bonuses when I promised to STOP with the black mini.

Seriously, though. There are a lot of factors at play as to a company even CAN offer bonuses. For the longest time, our Bd of Directors (way, way above my head,) said no. Then one year they said yes.

If you can get to the person who makes the decisions, simply point out that, if they appreciate the commitment, effort, and loyalty the employees have shown during the year, this would be a good way (and a GREAT time) to show it.

I am lucky to have heat in this effin building, I didn't this morning and I am just starting to thaw out....sorry, just a tad crabby here....WHAT is a Christmas bonus? :)

Try telling her to hammer her boss jokingly, doing a neater job than usual and reminding him in a jocular, but very frequent rate that a bonus may improve her productivity even more.
Or if she wants to keep using the mini, add in a whispery voice that she knows how to be "very grateful". Then, repay him with neater job, if he thought else he deserves a cold shower. The second part is jocular, but the first still value. Even so, tell her stressing, but without imposing, on how a small bonus could ensure a neat job for the entire new year, so it's an investiment and not a gift.
