Windows XP or Vista, which is best?just ordered a new notebook?!

Question: I would go for XP.I have heard that Vista is not that good.

Answers: I would go for XP.I have heard that Vista is not that good.

I would go with xp, they are still having trouble with some programs and vista. But that's my personal pref

Vista is better as long as you get the 64 bit... 32 bit is just plain lame.

I like XP

XP - I've heard from too many tech savvy people that Vista has compatibility and privacy issues.

Kubuntu

get xp, vista has too many friggin probs associated with it. my sis got a notebook w/vista on it, and it crashed when she got her cingular wireless internet turned on. so now she pays 80 bucks a month for nothing. she had to send the laptop back and then get another one. BIG HASSLE!!!!

i'm on my laptop now with vista , i dont have any probs with it . i use xp at home . once you get used to the layout on vista , its pretty good

hi,do go with xp please man! vista is full of ****! you cant get anything to work on it! you cant get a decent printer to work e.g.
its is crap,i know is sounds good but it is crap! dont go with vista! ul just be wasting ur money!

Although I've tried both and have gone back to XP Pro on everything a better OS is the Linux, its free. You can either download it as Ubuntu or have them mail you a free disk that you can put onto as many computers as you want, FREE. Vista had/has a lot of compatability issues and have to buy new software as well as hardware that is Vista compatible. People have had to buy new printers, virus programs, burning software and so much more with Vista. This can be costly. Next time I have to install, I'm installing Ubuntu 7.10. It is now a proven OS and is FREE.

XP if you can find a new laptop with it. It was on my old laptop, God I miss it! Vista keeps crashing. I get 1/2 screens of information disappearing because Vistas still not got proper software for it yet.

XP, vista is crap, used it for a while nd theres to many problems with getting programs to work, and drivers for things like printers, am sure vista will be ok in many years to come.
