Don't you hate it when you get overcharged?!
Question: i didn't realize until i got home, when i went back the lass was extremely rude as if it were my fault. i bit my tongue,but i wasn't impressed. had it been $1 too much i wouldn't have bothered as the shop was clear across town, but$33 was worth going back for.

Isn't it ironic how you were made felt, when the money charged to you was unjust and should have been corrected in their system so that this misfortune didn't happen to someone.
If the table was turned however and should it had been you that left the store with $33 or any amount for that matter, that you could have been detained and possibly arrested.
Great system.... go figure!

Yes, even more so when the drive back to settle things up is a long distance one..... I am usually pretty cranky by the time I get there, I would have went back for that amount also.
i hate it when the amount really isn't worth going back for. i do all my shopping about 15-20 miles from my house, so anything under $5 i'm eating up in gas. $33 would definitely be worth the hassle.

Being overcharged is bad enough, but having to drive back to the store makes it doubly bad.
I always try to "lump together" items that are on sale, or marked down, so I can inform the clerk that they are reduced and watch to make sure the register rings it/them up correctly. Sometimes I forget exactly what the item was supposed to be, but keeping the items separate from the regular priced stuff helps me to notice to some degree.
I hate being overcharged. Once when I was given change at the shop I was $2 short and when I mentioned it I was made to feel a miser because I had asked for a measly $2. It was my $2 not theirs and I shouldnt have been made to feel awful for asking what was actually mine.
