Well, you didn't ask this, but out of respect for your wife, she is not an object, as in "the" wife. She is your wife.
Second, please, please help her decorate the tree. It would mean so much for her if you do. You have no idea how that warms the cockles of a woman's heart, to have her husband do something together with her - especially if she didn't have to ask first.
Which wife, exactly? One of my pet peeves is when guys say "the wife", like there is some generic woman out there. Is it your wife, or the one next door? lol - thanks for letting me vent - I'm sure you'll take as much notice as the guys I bug about this at work do...
