We're giving our son toys for Christmas. He's 2 1/2- he's happy with ANYTHING he gets. :)
I don't have children, so I get to save my money and have a quiet, peaceful holiday.

They are old, in their 30's, so they get what they get! Usually gift cards so they can get what they want. And a few "openers" like socks and gum and candy and calendars.
My child is my 9 month old cat, and he is getting a hug bag of cat toys and some kitty treats, along with lots of petting.

my son has way too many toys and clothes as it is... and a big mess comes along with that so this year we're getting him a toy box!!! And yes, if he asks for something in particular (he's 2) we'll get it. He's asking for a little train.

My youngest daughter several things she had on her list, dolls, things like that. My middle son money for a class trip in March and my older son some weight/exercise thing that we saw. Yes, all things they asked for.

I don't have children but I am giving my best friends' kids $50 gift cards to Toys R Us because there is too many of them to buy each one something individually.
my children are young yet. 2 and 5 months, i got my 2 year old, snow pants, boots, hat and gloves (all new) cars from the movie "cars" a ball and glove also with the "cars" and i got my 5 month old, clothes and a walker and other things to help her learn in the next year, also i got them both books and movies
My son is getting a Nintendo DS and a Mario game for it.

That's pretty much all they asked for. They are getting a few other things, but those are their "big" presents.
mine have got a 6v electric quad and some other things they haven't asked for the quads but got them some things they asked for they are only 20 months and 3 and half so want everything they see on telly so i couldn't possibly get everything they asked for
My 3 year old is getting Pat-Pat-Rocket (LIttle Einsteins) and the 1 1/2 year old is getting a huge play kitchen.
Mine are older now, all three teens one in college. Besides some replenishment of underwear/socks they are getting cash. That way they can do what they want and if they really really want $500 worth of X box and games they can pool it and do what they want. Chances are, they wont.
They are getting $275 each.
