I only wish I had an easy answer for you on this one. Have you talked to this "ghost" and told him how you feel? Maybe if he really cares about you he'll understand and make the choice not to hurt you or mess up your life anymore. Also I would suggest talking to the new man in your life about what's going on. If he has all the details from the beginning, then he'll be less likely to feel blindsided

without knowing the particulars I would suggest trying to block them out of your life, if it is an actual person. If it is in the mindset than I would try to forget or make peace with the past
Oh miss ellie...I wish I knew babe! That very thing is happening to me right now too...and it's killing the best thing that's ever happened to me!!! I will keep an eye on this questions...in hopes that someone will give some good advice that we can both use!!! =/

try to forget about it. i have gone through that already. i had a great fear of ghosts at that time. it happened at school when i really let my gaurd down. i was just sitting there and i saw on out the window in the field. when i went out for recess (yes it was in elemtary) i could have swore me and my friend saw it. for you i would say that you go see a professinall and they CAN probably release you from this spirtit.

You two have to release each other. if you release that person, they won't be able to contact you eventhough they may still be around.you are in a way keeping theem around.YOU have to convince them to go to Somewhere ( they are lost, inbetween).just tell the ghost to go rest in peace and that you will be alright if that s what they are worried about. Also let the ghost know only God can protect you and stuff like that. you do not have to hold them back, thinking about them, worrying about their absence or anything that brings down your spirit when you think about them. Sometimes you have to explain what happened to them, they might not understand they are gone. rememer they are reliving their last moments .........it doesn't sound fun.make them know it will make you happy when you know they are resting. sorry to hear that.

Well I heard that you can rid yourself of Ghost's by saying, I cast you out! I release your bonds tying you to this world. I cast you out!... Jam down the road ya bum, works too.
talk to that ghost...and if that doesn't work...hit that ghost with a broom...worked for me
