Do you really think jobs should make you?!

Question: take out your piercings before work?

Answers: take out your piercings before work?

I think it absolutely depends on where you work. If you work at a hotel, I will definitely require everybody to take off any facial piercings. It is because it is a "more" professional workplace.

But if you work at a tattoo shop, it is okay. I think by common sense, one knows how to dress when they encounter the customer base and see what they are offering to the customers.

yes. piercings are disgusting.

Yes. They can be cool, but largely inappropriate for work or a business setting. They can also be dangerous as they make get snagged on something depending on what you do.

Hey rules are rules, if you work for a company that expect a certain type of person to work for them than they can do what ever they want. It there company. You'd understand if the shoe was on the other foot and it was your business. And dont say you'd hire anyone bcause you dont discriminate, becuase your business would get looted and burn down

no, they are apart of who i am, take it or leave it!

no i don't generally speaking. there are exceptions though.

No. That's too controlling. But they can so they do. Although I'd pass with flying colors, I won't take any job that requires me to take a drug test. I'm sorry, the contents of my piss are none of your business. Same thing with piercings.

where? it depends on a. where you work and b. where the piercing is

No, unless it could be a danger to you. (ie. working in a Psych Ward, with electronics, etc.)

No, Be all you can be.

I know that is dumb, especially if you had it in at the interview and it was ok with them then

just pierce body parts under the clothes :)

It would be nice if it didn't matter. I've had people with piercings work for me in the past. I only had them take them out when my supervisor would show up--they didn't mind, they did it to keep me out of trouble.

If the company policy prohibits them, then it is probably a safety issue or they just want to avoid anything that could be distracting. I know I worked for Walmart for a year after I retired, and peircings were prohibited while on the job.
