Global warming can lead to some areas actually getting colder.
For example;
If the northern ice cap melts fast enough, and dumps enough cold water into the seas, the gulf stream will be diverted and no longer keep the UK warm as it does at present.
This would lead to year round ice in some areas, the temperature averaged over the whole planet would still be warmer, but the UK would be much colder.

no. there is no such thing as global warming in my opinion. there are fluctuations: periods of extreme heat followed by extreme cold. this is nature's way of stabilizing itself.

Yeah, here in Minnesota it didn't get above 15 on Friday... and 10 inches are supposed to fall today.
In Phoenix it has been raining for over 12 hours. That is sooo unheard of. Especially if it's not monsoon season. Usually we get maybe 5-20 minutes of rain. That's it. It's really kinda freakin me out. Maybe it's Armageddon.
It's blue skies and sunny here in the UK - windy and cold as well though.
At least it makes a change from rain !
