This Christmas Will Be Quite Empty For Me....Anyone Else Missing Anyone This Yea!

Question: My daughter, (in the Navy), will be deployed any day now. It is our first Christmas ever apart. I will try to make the best of it around others, but my heart won't be in it, I know.
God Bless those over seas this Christmas, and through out the year.

Wow...thank you. I'm overseas and I am missing my family something terrible! But luckily I have the opportunity to be with them in three weeks. I hope that your Christmas will be merry anyway even though your daughter won't be there with you. One thing that helped me was keeping the memory of my family's happy Christmas' in the past. So keep those in your heart and I wish you the best Christmas ever. Don't be too lonely. God bless you and your daughter for serving our country.

No I am not missing anyone. All of my family is here with me this X-mas

This is the first Christmas in Nine years that I will have been single or unattached to anybody. So I am missing on all of the fun "couple stuff" that I used to do at Christmas. Mistletoe, cuddling in front of the fire, watching the snow fall with somebody, looking at Christmas lights, etc.

I feel for you. My boyfriend, who is also in the Navy, has been deployed since August and I don't know when he will be back :^( Lets stick in there together. We'll make it.

No, but right after Christmas in late January/early February my boyfriend will be leaving to Vancouver for six months straight for work. I don't know if I'll ever see him again or what. So my hearts not really in Christmas this year because I know the closer it gets to Christmas, the closer it comes to his moving date.

i am always missing my late gramma and gramps...i know the feeling.look on the bright side...she is far away from you but she will still be able to communicate with you anytime...and she is in your heart...do the best that you can on x'mas day...

It's my first time too, to be spending Christmas away from my family. I'm working in another country (China) which don't really consider Christmas as a Holiday. So still I'm stuck here working during that time. My Christmas would be blue and cold.

Thanks and Merry Christmas! Likewise God bless.

This is my first Christmas that my husband(ex now) is not here. After my girls open their presents they are going to his house. It's going to be a pretty lonely and depressing Christmas this year.

no there won't be any missing.
I hope that you and the others with family overseas will have a wonderful Christmas anyway.
and God Bless our Soldiers--May they all return home safely to their familes.

Yes, My mother passed away last October. She was what my family called "the real Santa Claus". She had 12 children,30 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She bought everyone presents for x-mas. She also had alot of "adopted' children that she bought for also. We had family get togethers that were so large we had to rent a hall. Anyone who wanted to come (friends, boyfriends, in-laws to her children and even ex in-laws) were welcome. She even made sure there were gifts for those people as well. She was very loved for many other reasons as well. When she passed away last year, she already had bought presents for everyone. My sisters and I made sure everyone got their present on x-mas day. Talk about an emotional day! x-mas just won't be the same without her. She is missed so much. I wish your daughter well and will pray that she has a safe and speedy return. Try to be an enjoyable person around others, they may be missing her just as much and may need your support. Good luck and happy holidays.

I am sorry for all of us that are spending this holiday season with out some one near and dear to us. Brothers and sisters, boy Friends and girl Friends sons and daughters, mothers and fathers and grand-mothers and grand-fathers, aunty's and uncles, nieces and nephews or our cousins.
I am glad for all of us who will be spending the holidays with our loved ones that will be there for us to share our joy and laughter, and I pray for the safety of all of you and yours here and there.
Mr. Large, I know how you feel for the first time in forty years I will be with out my grand dad, he past in this past summer and I still cry for him not being here for me to chat with. I know that one day I will get to see him again, as you will with your daughter, and that make me happy for you.
May god Bless all of you, may he bring home our family and Friends from abroad including those in the Middle east doing the great jobs that they chose to do to better the quality of life for the rest of us.
Good luck Sir, and have a merry Christmas and a safe and joyous new year.
