After seeing how my dad got a ticket for not stopping long enough, I think I'll stop at a stop sign when I'm old enough to drive. My dad still remembers that fat policewoman that gave my dad a ticket for not stopping long enough.
I usually keep on driving even when there are some cars there.

in my hood, that is rare but i would definately stop cause that is when the po-po's catch your a***
i just kinda glide slowly by...if no one is there then why stop?
I always stop, not always for the 3 seconds, but I do observe the sign. A friend was killed by someone who ran a stop sign, so I'm a bit more observant of these than others may be.

I stop because it's good to have good driving habits. Come to a stop at a stop sign regardless, so you just do not have to even think about it - you just do it. Also, if you've ever gone through without stopping or have seen someone "slide" through without stopping and then have seen those blue lights start flashing, you know it's always a good idea to stop first.
