As far as I'm concerned you are already a top contributor, if it was decided on good manners and respect for other people who frequent polls and surveys, you would be one already. You always give really sincere answers.
In P&S yes. They took all the badges away :(

It used to be easier but they cut down the catagories you can get the badge in,,
I with you on that one. I also think it's impossible. I bet the top contributor is some person who works for yahoo and has to monitor the activity here.

i once was a top contributer in polls and surveys, but alas it has now gone.....

Yahoo said we do not ask Quality Questions, nor give quality answers so we don't deserve TC badges
you need 10% of best answers in that category. if you get an orange badge and your % falls below 10% then you lose it again.
i've got 8% of best answers and i have ,at the most, had 10% but they were mixed in different sections.
just keep trying you'll get there soon x x
Just pick a category your good at and get after it.
Its not impossible, because some people have done it. I was once a top contributor, but I lost it when I when i went away on holiday
I see these names of top contributors sometimes and i think to myself 'Ive never seen any of your questions or answers, so how can you be a top contributor?'
Maybe they are Y/A employees who just know how to award themselves points without actually doing anything :0/

it is now unfortunately on P&S - even though the category is much the same as S&C... and a lot of the other's like reality TV... entertainment / music... a lot of those questions are purely opinions.
they should either give them all back... or take them all away.

Well, when I got mine, I didn't know I was gonna' get one, you see. In fact, I didn't even know they existed for that matter.
Didn't do anything special or unusual or anything, and one day, I signed on and BAM there it was. So for about 2 seconds I felt pretty proud of myself, but then saw that it happened to a whole lot of others, too. So, it didn't actually mean anything, but it did mark us.
Soo.. then, time passed and one day, out of the blue, the badge just disappeared and that as the saying goes, was that.
So, I have no answer that is sensible, but that is pretty much the way it is around here. LOL.

I use to have a badge in P&S but one day in summer of 07 they took the P&S top contributor badges away it was a very sad day
