Do you really believe working the night shift causes cancer?!
Question: I heard something on the news last night about researchers are saying that working the graveyard shift can cause cancer.
I find that hard to believe myself.

I heard that, too. Personally, I think it sounds like a bunch of hooey.

I heard about that too. But honestly? What doesn't cause cancer these days?
Next thing they'll come up with is driving a Toyota Camry will cause cancer or something along those lines.

No more then working the day shift.
Working the night shift isn't healthy. I think there are other reasons those people are prone to cancer - food, rest, exercise, etc; probably not just working at night.
I don't think that's the cause, but it may contribute in some way. You know lack of sleep makes your body less able to fight of germs and infections, ect.... and I guess in some way you could consider cancer a very agressive type of infection. So in that sense it may be a cause, but the way they're trying to make it sound....? If that was the case I should have gotten cancer long ago.
