no, i want lung cancer.

I know some people that dont bother but some have stopped smoking

Hasnt encouraged me either way

I smoke less when I'm at the pub, but elsewhere it has made no difference.

I stopped smoking cigarretes and replaced that with a joint!!!

It's stopped me from going out more. I went out last Saturday and was treated lower than a Chinese dog ;0

No adverse effect, bar at work we have a smoking warden, a big large lass who charges all ooer the place shouting at as like juveniles, its great, its like being a kid again!!!

I quit in July, but the smoking ban had nothing to do with it. I smoked mainly in my own home (well...out back...not inside) and vehicle. I was always really conscious about smoking in public because I didn't want to affect others...I spent a good majority of my smoking career surrounded by non-smokers, and I wanted them to stick around, so I was always respectful, and conscious of where my smoke went. I quit for health reasons. The ban didn't really affect me...or rarely anyway.

Edit: Haha! I bet you're in England and I just stuck my foot right in my mouth, didn't I? I'm in America. But we've got smoking bans around here, too. In the next town over, you're not allowed to smoke ANYWHERE but your home or car (and they're even trying to pass a law that you can't smoke in your car). So, yeah, I thought you were talking about this side of the Atlantic...LOL.

no, in fact i started smoking don't know why silly i guess but there you go.

~no smoking bans are in effect in my neck of tha woods...

~so NO cant say that it has

i started out determined to smoke more, by defying the system and giving myself lung cancer, but actually, when im drunk i cant be arsed to go outside and smoke! i always forget i smoke until i have a beer, but you cant take your bloody drinks outside in most places, so i finish my beer and forget i smoke again. probably healthier, but i dont care about health.

Smoking cancer sticks is for loosers!! I don't smoke and I never have!!<3

It don't make any difference to me. I smoke and have for a long time. Theres a lot more things to worry about. I feel sorry for the young ones cos the pubs are closing down because some narrow minded people objected. But they are your generation so you must decide what to do about it.
It don't affect me as I will have a drink indoors with my pals. But I can't help feeling that you have been suckered.

neither. i never have smoked and never will

nope it will take more than that the government will need to try harder to control my life

I quit in March of this year and I have to say smoking bans weren't the reason for me to quit. The reason I quit is because my partner and I are planning to try for a baby soon and I wanted my body to be as healthy as possible for the baby.
I do feel sorry for smokers though as smoking isn't illegal. I think there should be a smokers room in pubs and clubs. I don't think it is good to have people who may be drunk standing smoking on a public street. Also there are non smokers on the streets too so it actually makes sense if you put all the smokers in a designated smoking room when they want a cigarette.

I drink and smoke at home now............
