Do you think that some people are destined to be alone forever?!

Question: Man, you got to WORK on those relationships! It takes time! Nobody ever needs to be alone in a world with billions of people in it.

ETA: A pet is a very comforting presence when you're alone, and if you have a dog you can walk, that always attracts people who want to make conversation. Hope that helps.

that's what my doctor said to me

i might be the living proof of that...so i guess its not impossible.

With people the way we are these days... I am suprised we aren't all destined to be alone forever.

Yes

no
i dont think anyone is destined to be alone

i'm a loner, so i hope not.

destined, no because i don't believe in destiny, but some people choose to be or don't make an effort to meet new people, so some people just end up being alone.

yes and well it's there fault most of the time.

Yes I do, it's sad for them, but then they usually have another purpose in life, and sometimes they no not what it is.

Yes

Yes, yes I do.

I kinda do, yes.

Yes, I think some people are fine not ever being tied down to someone, they have the occassional partner once in a while; but don't really need someone for life to make them appreciate the greater things in life

NO.. there's always a someone for another someone. So someone's not gong to be alone forever.

Do you mean single or simply living like a hermit, apart from other people? Some people are destined to remain single but they are not alone. They are surrounded by people who care very much about them. I believe living like a hermit is a choice, not a destiny.

In what sense? Yes some pepole never get married, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It can be a good thing! Go out and volunteer somewhere!

I Agree that there is no such thing as destiny, however I do think there are people with a blatant lack of social skills, and those people work better alone than with others.

The Positive: Some of the worlds most successful people were or are alone. And the world needs less people, so have less kids!

I gotta join the alone forever club - sorry........

no I believe that everyone has a someone at some point in their lives but just don'e settle for 2nd best when you know better is out there set your standards high and don't lower them for anyone

It feels like that with me.

your man is out here.... maybe its me and you are just a click away

No. I think there is someone for everyone, but some people just have a difficult time finding that person.

I do think some folks are built better for solitary lives (doesn't mean a monk's life - just means not living or married to someone). I think these type of folks are the minority - but not everyone is cut out to be "two by two". I'm NOT (lol)
Have a bf - love my boyfriend - we are grown adults and I've been married before. Hated it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a single person. I'll never get married again nor would I even live with someone again (at least I don't think so - surely would never marry) I've been single 16 yrs now since my divorce - so I mean what I say and I say what I mean! lol I think the divorce rate in the world would be cut significantly if some of us would just recognize that in ourselves and accept that in ourselves. My father even told me when I was a little girl and we were on family vacations or outings I was always trying to run off and be on my OWN (lol)
I'm perfectly happy (and prefer) shopping on my own, living on my own and I've even traveled on my own. I have a great career a very busy and active personal life filled with friends and family, a son and nieces and nephews - a loving boyfriend, etc.
I'm not a monk though, I'm not sure "destined" is a word I believe in or not - but I do KNOW I'm better off alone (personally speaking) and I'm certain others must be too. (it's not always a bad thing - for me? It's a GOOD thing)

God gave you two legs to walk,
God gave you two hands to hold,
God gave you two ears to hear,
God gave you two eyes to see…
But why did He give you only one heart?
Because He gave the other to someone for you to find! You see Sweetie you are never destined to be alone forever!!!

ummm yeah...
