Haha, yes I do hate that but most people usually ask first if they're allowed to try some of my food using that method and I do the same.
I guess I never really paid that much attention, I'm usually just happy when I get the chance to entertain/cook for people and a plate is just a plate to me :)
i fork my fork into their hands if they try that with MY food!!!
