Yes, and I have also learned that there's a lot of things that happen that you can't control, but there are some things that you can prevent if you make the right choices!

Mmmhmmm it used to be my favorite quote untill I believed it a litle too much, I think what people dont understand is that life is what you make of it weather or not its good or bad and you cant just delete the bad parts. Life is funny like that.

Life dishes out misfortune and fortune but not always in equal amounts. The trick is to take the small pieces of luck and savour them. By not depending too much on people and doing the right thing most of the time we get rewards from our actions.
If we don't expect we don't get disappointed.

No, thats not it, because other folks avoid this.
That's something my folks told me over and over when I was young. I've made a very nice life for myself as a result. There's very little I would change or eliminate. (Some things I might want more of or want more frequently!)
