I really like the early Metallica, Ride the Lightning.... smashing pumpkins are great, but Metallica will always be tops with me...
They are two completely different bands who play unrelated types of music to compare them and then choose one that is better would be pointless.
I like the Smashing Pumpkins because they are original and have good vocals and Metallica because they write very good riffs and are possible the best metal band around. I do not prefer one over the other.
Smashing pumpkins is cool,but I prefer Metallica.
