Question: First I posted a question that asked if it was a respectable job and almost everyone said yes.
Then I posted a question and asked if people would want their daughters to work at Hooters. Everyone said no.
So, what is your oppinion of a girl that works at Hooters?

eaaaaaaa...I wouldnt want my daughter there....and the chicks r cool, but I have got to know a few and they all seem to party at such a young age...so job is respectable...just not the ones workin it:)
if they're comfortable working in a place like that its fine. its not like they're damn strippers.
I'm sure they make a lot of money through tips.
So why not work there?
Its not like they sleep with there customers, they just serve them in revealing outfits.
That you can make a ton of money and it's not something you should do forever. Take the money and run, my dear. Go for it.
If the woman is comfortable doing it, that's fine. It's really pretty clean. If she is feeling coerced by someone else to work there and get good tips, that's a little like prostitution.

it's an honest job and they work hard. nothing wrong with that. my opinion of girls that work there? they aren't hanging out on the streetcorner, and they aren't on welfare. they are working, contributing to society. i admire them.
I haven't been there yet, but it sounds like I should go.
some of those girls use tube sox in their bras. I want my daughter to do better, but if she did work there I would still love her. They are just girls.
as long as you supply your own equipment,it's just a waitress job with the same ups and downs as any other.downside:you have to be nice to the customers all the time. upside:tips,and probably bigger(no pun intended) than most waitress jobs.
i'm sure u or whoever ur talkin bout deserves a better job...relly?? hooters?? r u seriously asking tht...unless u or whoever ur talkin bout are a strong nd cant be controlled by "confused" men nd has no other option and only if u or whoever ur talkin bout are in sum money crisis then i say okay
My daughter actually did for a summer at the beach ,,,No problem with me and her dad doing it...She didn't like it as much as she thought she would though....We actually were sort of proud of her since she worked and didn't let it get to her head...They are very good about keeping the girls that work there from being hassled..They aren't even allowed to wear their uniforms to work or after,,they change in the restrooms before leaving and after arriving...
She did say that they weren't generous with letting them have many tables ...so unless they made GREAT tips their money was more limited than a usual waitress job...Usually not more than 3 tables per girl at a time ever...So I guess its what she wants to do...My daughter made more $ working in a reg. restaurant really....It really is just a waitressing job !!!
I think it is highly overrated.
