Yes - this year has been the worst of my 15 years of life and i know next year things will improve.
With a cancer scare, family being really sick and some friends passing away, I can't wait for a new year to begin- bring on better days in 2008!!

No not at all. That means we would be older by a month (or so) and not have lived that month. We would have missed out on many days of life.
Besides, a start of a new year is largely symbolic, you could start your new year today if you wanted to. Why miss out on life? Today is the start. God bless
