I've never lived in a nudist colony, but I visited one for a sociology project. The people there all have less-than-perfect bodies... trust me! But their deal isn't about what the other person looks like naked, they just feel less confined without clothes. They feel society imposes so much on us as humans...from the way we speak and walk and talk, that they've chosen to rebel against one norm... of wearing clothes. It's pretty cool, actually.
Here's a joke one of the members of the colony shared with me, which I thought was kind of funny.
A family goes to visit some relatives at a nudist colony. The family decides to join in the fun and spend their days there living as nudists also. One day, their curious little boy asks his mom "Momma, why are that ladies boobies bigger than yours?" Without knowing how to answer the question, she just says "Bobby, the bigger the boobies the dumber the woman." The next day, the little boy asks his mom another similar question, "Momma, why is that man's ding-a-ling bigger than daddy's?" Again, the mom answers "Bobby, the bigger the ding-a-ling, the dumber the man." The following day, Bobby comes up to his mom, visibly upset by something... so his mom asked him what was wrong. Bobby asked "Momma, can you catch dumbness like you can catch a cold?" And his mom responds, "No, Bobby. Why are you asking that?" and Bobby says, crying... "Cuz daddy is over there talking to the dumbest woman I've ever seen, and he's getting dumber and dumber by the minute!"

I've never lived in one, but I wouldn't pass up a chance for a visit. I know enough about them to say for sure that very few people there have perfect bodies. So they aren't for the squeamish.
