Answers: 1/ Put it out of it's misery

I would stay with it and talk in a Basil Brush voice until it wanted to die.

i dont really give a fox

I'd finish it off, only decent thing to do.

Number 1

3, stay with it and stroke its poor little head until it took its last breath then I would probably bawl my eyes out, I hate to see animals suffering.

3 - but I would call wildlife rescue as I'm not a vet and it might be able to be saved xxxx

I would help the best way i could.....

2

back up very fast and run it over...making sure i got its head....ive had to do this...cried for hours after!

I would put it out of it's misery and then take it's tail -- heck, I'd take it's skin.

or 4, skin the git for a coat! lol!

#2 and call the police or the humane society

most def stay with the fox .....

would it not already be dead if it was fatally wounded?

anyway, it's not safe to just stop in the middle of traffic in these parts, you might get fatally wounded yourself

You said it was fatally wounded. It's dead!

call for help on my phone ensure the animal was not a danger to any member of the public and do my best to keep the animal as stable as i could untill help got to it or untill it moved on to the next life

regards x kitti x

i wouldnt know if it was fatal so i would put it in the car take it to vets for them to treat it .
the vets get paid to look after the wildlife and are somehow able to reclaim their expenses

1 why let it suffer

3 of course I would have to take care of my on

I'd put it out of it's misery.

I'd try and help make it better, and take it home with me if necessary!
I've already saved loads of birds and animals, but not a fox, as yet!

I once saw a beaver on the side of the road it was in pain, i tried to reverse over it to put it out of its misery but i chickened out. i wouldnt get out of the car to comfort a hurt animal as they are known to bite when in shock or as instinct, and most wild animals carry diseases.

* I would call the vet , even animals deserve medical atention nd if not then 3 , 1 nd 2 are NOT an option for me - i once saw an eagle i fink it had been shot in the wing i went to get my dad as i was only 7 nd was scared to catch it but it had dissapeared when he came - i saved birds before then released them when they wer better =) *

1. if you call someone there only going to put it down anyway, rather then make it suffer for the next few hours, and if i was sure that it wasnt going to live more then a few hours and was in a lot of pain, i would just snap it's neck rather then clobber the hell out of it. quick and painless.

The fox I would find injured on the road is the one on our farm, he is so tame and my daughter has called him Fantastic Mr Fox. For that reason he would be in our house in front of the fire till he breathed is last breath. Then he would have a proper funeral and a prayer.

I'd grab my camcorder and poke it with a pointy stick, capturing it's soundless scream of mortal anguish.
