I think it's easier for people to remember insults, because they provoke such strong emotion. If people only focused on the complements they would be happier, but their heads would be the size of watermelons.
An insult...But I try to remember the compliments!

the sting of an insult lingers...but it pushes me to really excel in what I do.
For me of course the compliments, because i will always remember those people who gave me some good compliments rather than who gave me a damn insult (better to throw them in the trash can right away and forget them) it's not worth it anyway!
