What do you do when life gets you down?!

Question: I've tried a few things, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm taking suggestions here.

when life gets me down, i find a way to laugh at it. If that doesnt work, i make a new friend or talk to someone i haven talked to in a while. Having a "new"friendship/relationship is fun and distracts me from whatever is getting me down. Depending on how "down" you are, a good drink/ smoke could do the trick too. Music also helps, a lot. Playing it, listening to it, writing it, anything to do with music helps. If none of this stuff works, a good cry will. I realize that you're a guy and guys dont cry that much, but crying is actually healthy. Feel better :)

P.S.- you look nothing like brendon urie. That is a disgustinginsult. Hey, if someone compared me to Brendon Urie, i would be pretty down too. He's wicked ugly and his music makes me want to stick his dick into a blender filled with salt.

I usually try to find happiness at the bottom of a bottle when I'm down... but I rarely find it!

sing

Go out and seek people.
Do something to take my mind off myself.

I talk to my friends
and i listen to lots of music
and eat choclate :P

I write
Talk to a close friend to help put things into perspective.
Take a walk.

I think I will get my writing tablet out......

Listen to music
Hang out with your friends
Watch TV and snack
Talk on the phone

ps- has anyone ever told you that you look like Brendon Urie?

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...
Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming...
;^)

listen to good music. or watch a good movie or tv show.
hanging out with friends or people in good moods help. lol

Dust myself off and work like hell to get where I want to be. I'm still not there but I'm not about to give up.

Try to deal with it the best I can. Have a talk with my friends and go out and explore NYC.

I try to think of all I have to be thankful for, rather than what I don't have. I also think of happy times.....go rent myself a funny movie........and stay away from people and things that bring me down. Life's way too short to dwell on the bad...........we all feel down from time to time...but if it continues you need to get yourself some help. Drinking and drugs are NOT the answers...they only make things worse in the end.

I know what you mean. This is what I've been doing:

Practicing the laws of attraction with positive affirmations. I find that it works well in boosting my spirits. Just when I'm caught off guard I tumble. I guess practice makes perfect.

Some other things I do, talk to a close friend, do something that makes me happy, like a favourite hobby, listen to uplifting music (nothing sappy) take a shower! I find that always makes me feel better! And do something nice for myself.

Do your best to keep yourself busy.
Do what you love to do...whatever makes you happy.
Try something new.
Travel.
Go out and have fun.

I like to write and usually pour my heart out, I do this while listening to music, whatever relaxes me. Don't look for alcohol. Good luck to you, also try to talk to a Friend you trust over the phone.

bury it!

Write in a journal, express your feelings and thoughts if you dont want anyone to know.

Um you can listen to music[always bring the mood up] or rip paper.

Ripping paper may sound awkward but it helps sometimes.
You can also try screaming. :]

Hope that gave u something to look forward to wen ur sad or depressed. <3

I concentrate on the things that are going well. It's been awhile since I stopped dwelling on things I can't change.

I go to the mirror , and tell myself that I'm wonderful and then take care of business.

get friends around me &shout out aloud.

Well..

Vodka, or any alcohol for that matter, helps.

But legally speaking, you didn't hear it from me. :P

after the chocolate coma wears off, i'd seek out a good friend to vent with and then laugh with.

go get a blue coconut slush

i play music wicked loud mostly rock, or third eye blind.

you look like the chuck form gossip girl!! werid!

Listen to uplifting music.
Talk it out with someone.
Write/paint.
Shower, drink some herbal tea, then rest.
Just think, someone somewhere out there has it worse. So be thankful and chin up. Things will get better! :)

um i listen to music....and i turn it up really loudly. and sometimes i'll go have dinner or go shopping with some of my friends...i love black friday...lol.

i sleep
tada.

I either cut myself,cry,or party.
