A several days old- aborted chick (embryo) steamed and it is .....called "balut" from one aisan country, a special delicacy indeed and they believe it is healthy and good for the body...You can eat this everytime ,,,but the eating time of this I suppose is more in the evening or at night..bec they believe it gives strength in one's rooms's activities...
When I was a child with a chalk board my grandmother gave me a raw carrot to chew. I accidentally fed the wrong hand to my mouth and chewed chalk for about 10 seconds
As an American, I've eaten plenty of weird, non-food delicacies such as Twizzlers, Twinkies, Little Debbies, Trix and all manner of sugary breakfast cereals, baloney on Wonder bread. Ugh and we weren't even poor.
