Today during lunch I took a walk by the Bay. I watched an old couple walking by as well - both had to be over 80, for sure. They were holding hands and laughing as they went - I nearly cried at the beauty of it - enduring love..........

I cry at supermarket openings, so crying doesnt count. We had the good old Santa Ana winds recently and other than the heat, they cleared away all of the smog and we could actually see the mountains. They're less than a mile from me, but most days I can just see an outline. Last week, I looked out and could actually see the trees and bushes on the mountains. It was almost as though someone had dipped them in water, because you could see all different colors and it was glorious. When I first moved to California, I used to think the mountains were like a prison that held me in. Now I look at them as though they are guarding me from that big old world out there. That kind of beauty can always make me cry.

Watching (and listening to) my 13 year old granddaughter play the piano, this afternoon. She is very good!!!!!!
She has been taking lessons for only 1 year and is already a level 5.
Today she was playing "Victor's Solo" from "The Corpse Bride". It's one of my favorite.
