i think annoying is not even the word..
I didn't answer the door when I saw her crossing the street heading to my house.
I still do. He's my land lord. I can't deal with it or I won't have a home.

I called the police.
Lots of them over the years. The first thing is that they ARE your neighbors so unless you want a feud going on in your front yard, use tact and diplomacy.

Nosey neighbors often think they are doing themselves a favor by watching you. It may be that you have some routine or habit that makes them nervous or perhaps they are just that way naturally. Who knows with some folks?
I'd suggest getting to know them better so they feel comfortable with you and then maybe they'll just come out and ask what they want to know. Then you have the option of telling them the truth, lying to them or asking them to mind their own business.
You might also consider sending them a hint by waving at them each time you see them.
YES. We were in a townhouse, where there is like 2 feet of "yard", then the parking area. He would walk across our 2 feet of yard, directly past our front door, instead of across the gravel... He also used our water hose (while attached to OUR house) and used a sling shot on the (cute!) stray cats in the neighborhood. He eventually moved.
I've had a "naked neighbor" before as well. I moved away, but for other reasons lol.

yes I did for a while but they're much better now. a couple of years ago, my neighbors started trapping squirrels in cages and freeing them elsewhere, all because they did not like squirrels on their property. Me being an animal-lover, I thought it was cruel and so I went over to their property, when they weren't home, and let the squirrels go. They have stopped catching the squirrels (I think they got the message), but I haven't really seen any squirrels on their property since.
if have like 7 right now, I'm in student accommodation and you cant deal with it, 18y/o in England act like children, they are always drunk, think they are always right and if you say anything will just make more noise for the fun of it! but you just learn to ignore it, your not home most of the time yourself anyways so its not too big a deal unless you have uni the next day and trying to sleep!
yea in my old apartment they had these 2 little dogs theat screeched all the time. Plus they always tried to make small talk with me when I was going to my room, they were very annoying
Yes! He said our dimmer switches on our lights were interferring with his radio reception! He wanted the FCC to fine us $1000/day and got the president of the electric company off the golf course to listen to his complaint. He was picking on other neighbors too over little things too so we would stand together outside and talk about him loudly while he was cutting his lawn. He moved! Talk about social pressure.
I still have an annoying neighbor, and I've resorted to ignoring her. So far, it's working. She calls the police on us for any minor deviation from city code. My car was hanging over the sidewalk a couple inches -- she called.
My garbage cans were on my back patio, and she sent her son to take pictures. I was sitting here on Y!A when I saw the flash bulb go off a few times.
- When my wife was doing laundry, she went to confront her about calling the police on us. My wife had a hanger in her hand, and my neighbor called the police again to say she was assaulted w/a hanger (assault in Illinois means threatened).
I know how to take care of that sort of problem. I took pictures and then called the police.
still do have an annoying neighbour...I just try to keep the peace as I dont wish to move.
Yup. They owned like 7 Harley's and would have them parked in the driveway and just rev the engine over and over again. I'm still not sure why. Luckily, they moved a month ago, but up until then, we dealed with it by trying to drop subtle hints about how loud the neighborhood was and how it disturbed everything.
Annoying neighbors are the worst. We just did not talk with them.
Now we have great neighbors!
Oh yes, I lived in a duplex with the landlord and her boyfriend in the other unit. He liked to get stoned and watch Days of Thunder at volume ten and play this one scene over and over again. It made the pictures I had on that wall shake. There wasn't a whole lot I could do, I just went to the other room where it was quieter and eventually moved in with my girlfriend. I still miss the place though, 400 a month rent and a one minute walk to the ocean.
Yes but they moved after few months
I have to put up with it, she is a very cute girl. :)>
