Yes, this has happened on occassion. Whenever I am placed in this situation, I really have to hold in my laugh. You want to believe that you didn't just hear it, but you know you did. I just keep minding my business though and carry on like it never happened.

Oh my God yes! My mother in law. We were sitting there talking and then......well you know. It was so loud I actually jumped! She just kept on talking so I pretended that I hadn't heard. That was an akward moment to say the least.

it's kinda embarrassing. one time i went to this Italian restaurant with my boyfriend and it was really good except that my stomach started hurting after wards..so we left then went to ross and our way there i farted but it didn't make a noise so i just kept talking but then it started smelling really bad and i rolled down the window.my boyfriend was like what's that smell? i said i dunno..then he starting gagging and when we pulled into ross he started puking everywhere!!it was so embarrassing(he knew i farted) honestly i didn't think it was that bad but apparently it was. he got it all over his pants and shoes. so it gets worse..we were coming out of the store and he asked where his keys were and we looked next to his car and they were in his vomit..lol hope it made you laugh because it is true!
I absolutely love the fact that God gave us the ability to fart and for it to make a noise,,,Anyway, usually what I always do is turn to the person and ask as loudly and seriously as possible...." What did you say?".. and wait for the answer, no matter where we are or how awkward the situation is, I stay in character. Seriously, "What did you say, dude?"

if we're in a shop he does it then looks at the person next to him, wrinkles his nose and walks away, anyone in the vicinity then looks at the poor Innocent person with disgust, and my hubby gets away scot free
LMAO! The very first time my boyfriend farted in front of me. It was cute. We were watching a funny movie and he went to laugh and farted at the same time! LOL, I just pretended I didn't hear anything. Ever since then, he does it all the time!

When I hear of another passing gas I don't pretent not to hear it. Na, I make a little comment, depends who it is. I may say," I heard that lil' poot." or " you pootin' ?" I have said to a few ladies in the past that let one go I said, "you called?" just lil' comic sayings that just come out all in good fun. Then I've said some harsher words towards dudes and my nephew, but mostly laugh and say something silly and thats it. The sounds I find it hard not to laugh is when I'm with a lady in those romantic times and those sounds happen in the heat of the moment, those are the hardest time by trying to pretend I didn't hear it.
