Were you ever in a wedding?!

Question: As a bridesmaid, flower girl, groomsman, ring bearer, etc. How many times if more than one? How was your experience?

If there were a section in the encyclopedia called "Always a Brides maid, Never a Bride" there would be a picture of me. The weddings I've been in- 3 friends, 2 cousins, 3 sisters, 1 brother. I enjoyed them all :)

bridesmaid- I hated it.

maid of honor to my eldest sister and bridesmaid to my man's bestfriend

flower girl- sisters wedding

I was asked to be in 2 weddings as a bridesmaid. Wasnt able to make it at the last minute to either of them though...

no

twice as the groom, first time I hated it, second was great.

bridesmaid. a few times.. maid of honor once........ it was nice.. :)

Nope, just my own, as the bride.*

I was my sister's Maid of Honor last year... It was alright... I guess... but I wouldn't want to be in another one....

flower girl for my brother's wedding when i was little. bridesmaid twice. it was ok. the 2nd time i met my future husband who was the wedding photographer.... we are long since divorced !

I've been a bridesmaid twice, for my sisters wedding and for my brother's wedding. It was a wonderful experience but being kinda shy of the camera is something I had to get over pretty quickly lol =P

Best man once. Groomsman once. Groom, once.

I was a flower girl when I was like, 5 years old in my cousin's wedding.... and I was a bridesmaid in my step-moma and dady's wedding when I was 11. Both times I had a LOT of fun! The experiance was awesome, and being that close to all the action helped me get ideas and know what to do/what not to do when I get married....

I'm in a frat, I've been in atleast 10 weddings this year alone!! I'm good til 08! LOL

I was the maid of honor just this past summer. It was hard work, but it was LOTS of fun!!!

yep i was a flower girl at my second cousin's wedding & i was an usher for my friend's mom's wedding.

when i was a flower girl, i was still kinda young, so i was kinda bored and it was long. after the service was fine, except for the fact that i got sick bc of the weather

when i was an usher i actually liked it. bc the service wasnt that long and the afterparty was memorable. plus there's not so much pressure for you to mess up or go the wrong way.

Ive walked 8 weddings! 3 of them in the same year...and im walking 2 next year!! They've all been good...i love weddings! And out of the 8 i've walked...only 1 has gotten divorced...so i'd say that's not a bad ratio... I've never used any of the dresses again after those weddings, so it is a pretty big waste of money...but ur participating in someones most "special" day...

twice a bridesmaid, once a flower girl in my aunts wedding and then as the bride in mine. All were so much fun! although one of the bridesmaids dresses was mostly made of spandex so that wasn't pleasant, but thats what control top pantyhose are for, lol!

Ive been a bridesmaid twice. Once when I was about 9 and had to wear a yukky lemon dress that made me look like a fruit mousse.

The second time I was 14 and had to wear a long apricot coloured dress. 4 days before the wedding I had to go for a final fitting and my cousin (the bride) decided to try on her dress..........she had put on weight and the dress wouldnt do up at the back. My cousin was in hysterics, my aunt was flapping like an old hen. I suggested she wear a cardigan so that the open back wouldnt show and my mum slapped my arm and told me to be quiet.

My couisn had to borrow a wedding dress for her day.....ha ha serves her right for eating all the pies.

i hate all this.they r 2 boring

I was a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding. And the maid of honor in my sister's.

I would not suggest being apart of a wedding... EVER.

And I am actually perfectly fine with the whole, "Always a bridesmaid never a bride" thing. Who in their right mind would want to have a wedding with my family involved??

Bridesmaid- hated it.

It was about 40 years ago. I was a bridesmaid at my college roommate's wedding. It was OK. I don't remember being traumatized by the experience. One ugly dress, tho! lol

2 many 2 count. bridesmaid's. borring half the ppl are divorced.

I was second in line at my best friend's wedding and I was the groom at my own wedding.

I've been a bridesmaid twice, and a bride once.

Overall weddings suck and lots of things go wrong, but in the end it's all good.

I have been a bride (15 long years ago),a maid of honor, a bridesmatron and a matron of honor. I was also the guest book attendent for another friend. For the most part, if you aren't dealing with a Bridezilla, then, it can be a lot of fun. When I was a matron of honor, my friend was really preoccupied with these frilly pew bows. Well, after numerous trips to Michaels and several burned (from a hot glue gun) fingers, we made some gorgeus professional looking pew bows and the ceremony lasted about 15 minutes (of course!). It can be fun, just remember it's the bride's day, keep her happy and things are great!

Bridesmaid and Maid of Honor and Matron of Honor - hated all of it - the stupid dress, the rehearsal - everyone arguing............... just go to the courthouse and be done with it.

i was the flower girl in my cousin's wedding when i was four i still remember i hated it because they made me hold hands witht he ring bearer and wouldn't let me throw the rose petals on the floor :(

Lets see... I have been Maid of Honor once - good experience it was my best friend I got really drunk and had a great time - the marriage ended in divorce though.

I have been a bridesmaid twice. One was good it was my brother and I was 16 and had a lot of fun - the groomsman I walked with was cute and funny!! The other time was for a friend and she got pissed when we "stole" the groom. Didn't talk to me for month's after the wedding - that kinda sucked.

I have been a Junior bridesmaid twice, fun on both accounts.

It all depends on the people getting married and especially their parents!! I have been to several weddings were I was not a member of the bridal party but my husband/boyfriend was and they were total nightmares because either the bride was too uptight or one or both sets of parents were. You should have fun at a wedding not feel like your walking on egg shells.
