I'm a little of both. If it's a subject that I know a lot about, I have the upmost confidence in myself, but if I am going somewhere I have never been or doing something that I'm not that familiar with, am like a small child with absolutely no self-confidence looking for validation from someone. Thank goodness my husband knows and appreciates me for the kooky person that I am.

I definitely need validation from others because my self esteem can be low sometime but other time it be high I don't know what I'm thinking really.

I agree with you. I am the kind of individual who likes support from friends, but I can take on a challenge by myself if I have to.
