Yes the 80's 70's horror flicks were scarier cause they were done with prosthetics and animatronics and not cgi, they had a more grittier realism to them

Sometimes, Other times, it brings the exprience to life...
Like I don't know anyone who can act like a DINO and make it look real.
Do you?

CGI is hundreds if not thousands of times more expensive per second than paying for 'real acting' in a lot of cases. You know, people in the WETA labs that do the CGI have spent years and years studying to be able to do this. Are their jobs less worthy than Real Actors?

Not to mention the fact that most of the 'real acting' is done by stunt doubles who are risking serious injury.

You're not being robbed of anything and the studios aren't being cheap. They are using computer generated imagery to enhance films with scenes that we could previously only imagine but never render.

Absolutely ! It's like watching a cartoon. Im glad there are other people out there that feel this way. This is one of the reasons im going to film school. And The fact that every horror movie from the 80's is getting or has been re-made. Hollywood is hitting rock bottom,& eventually people are gonna realize the Sh*t that's being fed to them!

You're falsely working under the presumption that movies which require CGI actually have people in them who can "act"...

I love a great CGI movie but I'm not looking for academy award performances from anyone in them. Just action and special effects to "wow" me.

There are plenty of movies and actors out there who have never been supplemented by CGI. Go see them instead.
