NYC or LA?!
Question: Why?
Answers: Why?
1- Isn't the late night king of NY temporarily unemployed cuz Hollywood won't write his scripts anymore?
2- Wasn't Frank Sinatra born in NY but moved to LA to live once he got famous? I guess he got enough of "New York, New York" and being "right through the very heart of it?"
3- You want to talk about diversity & embracing cultures? We have a Gov and Mayor whose names nobody can spell. Brag about diversity all day long, but what good does it do, when it ultimatley boils down to your regular white man club running the city?
4- Tall buildings blocking all sunlight vs rollin' in the SL500 with the top down and wind blowing through the hair, driving along the coast?
5- Long hours on public transportation & darkness after work vs driving str8 to the beach to watch the sunset?
6- An hour to the snow & skiing, an hour to Vegas & sinning, four hours to Hawai'i to just chill on the beach or golf... can you beat that?
7- Getting up an hour early to shovel snow vs jogging on the beach?
8- A couple of kids wearing red or blue vs the mafia?
9- NYC is among the top 10 with the highest cost of living. Call it personal shortcomings but I would be too old to enjoy my "above average" status once I got to that point.
10- Wearing black, looking angry and depressed vs bikini tops & flip flops with a flower in the hair?
In conclusion, one can come up with all kinds of pride factors, but at the end, it boils down to factors that make the individual happy and improves the quality of life. History, tall buildings, financial institutions, statues and football teams may look good on the paper but they don't put a smile on my face every day...only waking up to a beautiful morning, dressing up with the flower in my hair, putting the top down and finally feeling the sand on my feet after work do.
Yeah my friend NYC told me about this site LOL.
I added you to my contacts, I like to participate in future discussions too, if you don't mind. Report It
