Is a Person Defined by What He/She Does for a Living?!

Question: Some people think so but I hope we will get over this and define ourselves by some other more valuable measure. I much prefer to think of myself as a father or as a husband than as the manager of a toll plaza. Yech.

Nope. I work in a restaurant. Does that make me a servant?

In modern America, yes.

partly

For me, definitely NO.

it depends on their commitment and whether or not people find the job interesting. If you're an astronaut chances are that's what defines you; if you're a low-level paperpusher you probably shouldn't define yourself by what you do because what you do kinda blows

Not really it's just how they act when their at work.
are they mad, because they don't like where their working or are they thankful they have a job, and the people who like them just because of what kind of job they don't really like them.

I sure hope not!

some people think that way

Heck, no! The amazing thing about being a human being is that we are so much. I'm a Christian, a friend of God's, a student, a sailor, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a lover, a gardener, a musician, a writer, a poet, happy, contented, tired, hopeful, motivated. That's me. What are you? Maybe you're a little constrained by misguided standards. Be free to define yourself! :) Peace!

I hope not.
