Once i found 2,000 bucks under a mattress in a hotel room. It was freakin amazing. I had so much fun with that money. I can't wait for it to happen again.

Leave it there. I mean.. what if some valuables fell out of your purse.. maybe something your grandmother left you, or a $10k ring your sons (if you're a mother) bought you for mother's day.. and you freaked out and ran back to the place you think you lost them.. and someone had taken them?
Money is different, because someone else will see it there. But with jewelry, I don't believe there is ever such a thing as "finders keepers." That's just morally unheard of.
whooo boy... a matter of temptation vs honour on that one. I being someone who believes, despite being eternally mocked for it, in the teachings of honour and chivalry, would most likely take it to a police station and report it as lost. As per the usual stuff, they look for a report of missing items etc etc and hopefully find the owner. Though I think if it's not claimed within a couple months the finder can take it, so that to becomes honour vs temptation hahah

When I was a kid after school I went with some friends to an old abandoned house, and I found just that, an old box in one of the closets full of newspapers clothes and old stuff. My mom kept it, she still has it. lol

well it's not a good idea to keep.so try to find the owner.well maybe someone has told the police the same things.you'd better make a kind of note and stick it around your house.maybe the owner lost it near you!
I'd list a found ad in the newspaper then wait a month or so. Then I'd keep it if no one tried to claim it.
Give it to the homeless guy or anyone suffering in poverty.
