I wouldn't destroy it. That's wrong and would build bad Karma. I would look through the phone directory and call somebody on it and have them tell the person I have their phone and would like to return it. How would you feel if you lost YOUR phone?
I wouldn't destroy it . I would try to find it's rightful owner because what goes around comes around.

Why should I destroy it? It is almost certain that the owner will call the number in the hope of getting it back so I would just wait for the call and arrange to meet the person somewhere and return it!!!

I wouldn't destroy it, I'd turn it into the police or call a few numbers to find the owner. Just do the right thing, u'll feel bettter about it...besides it's christmas season... santa will bring you a great gift for doing the right thing... lol

I wouldn't - I'd phone "Mum" or such and tell them I'd found it.
Hopefully anybody finding mine would do the same thing.
Actually my daughter lost hers and it turned out she'd accidentally dropped it in the postbox when she put the letters in. Guy at the sorting office found it, phoned us and then mailed it back for free.
Depends... i live in a small town so if i found one.. i'd see whose it was.... If I liked the person... i'd give it back (the same for a person i didnt know) If the person had ever done anything to me (started rumors, hated on me, tried to jump me, acted a fool, etc.) AKA i dont like them. I'd throw it on the ground HARD and stomp on it, let my friends have a go at it.... then run it over with my truck.... then mail it to them in a box.... Revenge is a B**** !!! haha thats just my evil side coming out... but why let these people run over me without any forms of revenge??
