I have an Aga cooker and I love it, especially at this time of year, great for cooking long slow casseroles and beef burgeon cakes and bread, warms my kitchen up lovely too.

my gran has one in ireland.. they serve a dual purpose.. for heating also.. and most have a rack , you can use it to dry clothes on

When I was a child my parents had an oil-fired Aga - a magnificent specimen, I can remember being mightily impressed with it when it was 1st installed. Anyway, I used to use it for frying omelettes and such like. It has to be said that Agas are probably not as good as more conventional cookers. I think in some ways they are more for show, rather than being particularly convenient or practical.

no but my nana and grandad had one they lived on a farm that wasn't used as a farm, they cost loads nowadays, when they sold the place they took it out as the house was getting demolished for new houses and took it to our yard to be sold, but it was just left to rust. it was bright red
we used to have a rayburn when i was a child, think it's similar to an aga, they were brilliant for cooking and heating
