I might have before I read (and also saw the movie version) of Stephen King's "IT" (whimper!) -- there was an evil clown in both the book and movie.
And even if I would go out on a date, the last place would involve swimming or any other kind of watersport, thanks to the movie JAWS! Again, no "clowning" around with a shark, either !!
