Question: in a life or death situation where only one of you could make it out alive, who would you choose?

If I could see a path for myself then id actually put the 2 people in front of me and see that they got out first. Even if it means death. I mean I cant take material possessions with me if i die, and life yes is precious but I id rather they enjoy it instead of dying by my own selfishness.
I would definately save someone else.

To be honest, i think i'll save myself first...
almost certainly someone else. but a lot would depend on who. like if one of them was Scott Peterson, no, I'd let him go.
I hope I never find myself in that situation.

human feelings do not leave space for thinking , in the state of fear there is no logic or reason , but if one has quick reaction he could try to save himself along with another person.
If it was one of my friends or family then I would definitely save them first but if it was a stranger or someone i barely knew then I would save myself first...i know I sound selfish but I'm just being honest!
Some one else. It almost happened to me in a fire. I went back to get some one else and nearly lost my life. I did manage to save the person inside.
I've already been saved, so I would do the right thing & save somebody else.

If friend or family - them first.
If complete stranger - everyone for him/her self.

Id save myself, its a life and death thing.
it depends on who is that "someone else". if it's a family member (e.g. mom/dad/kids) i'll save them first. but if not, i'll save myself.
i think in situations like that, your instincts kick in.... and you do everything automatically without much thought. i am sure.. if it were a situation involving me and my children.. i would be trying to save them. but i noticed traveling in a car... when i hit the brakes my arm automatically went infront of my passenger... and we were just colleagues at work. so who can really say? i do know that if we were in water.. people would have to save me... because after taking swimming lessons five times.. i would still drown. :(
