First of all...don't panic. It could be someone messing with you. But still, if someone comes to the door, don't open the door if you don't know who it is. And never tell anyone on the phone that no adult is in the house. You can say they are busy...but not that they're not home. Safety first!
Call your mother (I don't care if she's working, she won't be mad) and tell her the call you just got and that it freaked you out. Then SHE can call the local police station and ask what's going on. She can call you back and calm you down.
But like someone else said-police foundations call all the time and ask for donations and they will only speak to the adult of the house. So it could be nothing.

i don't know...
i'd be freaked out too...

<3.

I would think it's just some person randomly calling you to annoy or scare you. I would forget it and not answer the phone next time.

do you have a security system? maybe you tripped it I dunno
police are not known for the courtesy

FAKE... don't worry about it... If it's really bugging you call 911 an ask them about it... Just remember if they do call back later and ask for money (policemans ball or something)it's probably a scam...

your dead and another ghost has called you no maybe theres a cereal killer in your neighborhood

They're probably calling to request a donation. Don't be freaked out a courtesy call is just a nice way of saying a sales call, trust me I know I'm a customer service rep and used to be a telemarketer.

i don't think you should sweat it. but they don't really make those type of calls b/c they usually identify themselves as police officers. let the machine pick up your messages and don't answer the door.

why would you tell some stranger that there is no adult there??? And the police don't do "courtesy calls"... weirdo pedophiles do...

omg, scary! lol
Make sure the doors are locked...and switch on the lights ;)
Maybe unplug the phones too?
