I'm a bit of an obsesive-compulsive, so my obsessions don't really make sense to anybody but me...
Bulk purchases, stocking up on things, Clipping coupons...to save money i often over-buy things that are on sale. i stock up on items that i end up not needing. such as computer printer ink that was on sale and then we got a new printer a year later, but i still have 3 extra cartridges or ink that have now expired so the store will not take them back. It is not a problem to buy a lot of toilet paper or facial tissue when it is a good deal, because eventually we will use it, but some things i end up giving away. I got 20 pounds of squash for 10 cents a pound, spent 5 hours peeling, chopping, cooking, blending, measuring and then froze it all. now our freezer has 40 cups of squash in it and 6 cups baby food squash and we don't have a baby. i have been trying to give it away so i can get some freezer space back. This was not a money consuming purchase, but it did consume my time and now the freezer space.
I also frequently wash my hands which leads to dry, cracked hands...but germ awareness is not a bad thing when working in a health care type field. i developed this habit in nursing school and working as a CNA.
I like to keep my counters wiped, but i don't really care one bit about my floors unless they are sticky or slippery.
