Question: when we were kids, my brother almost hung himself on the fence, playing cowboys and indians, anyway i was the hero of the day. the story made the local paper, it was almost christmas, the reporter asked me what i wanted from santa, i replied that i only wanted a doll. next day they came back with a lovely new baby doll.

I was an Emergency Rescue Tech for 8 years, and I was told several times, that I was a hero, but I do not feel like it, I just did my job.

I was in the pool house helping my daughter get her floaties on and her friend was over, I was fully dressed still and heard a big splash in the pool, I turned around to see through the glass door to find her friend in the pool, he was 2, I didnt even think ................ I walked right out of my shoes and dove in. I had to go to the bottom and pull him up.I've never had a rush like that in my life!=)

A true Hero will never say he/she is one. They are always too humble. Just like all the firefighters that came to help here in San Diego, CA. They are true hero's but not one will say he/she is.
