I try to, because otherwise I just buy whatever I see that seems good. But sometimes it is hard for me to think of everything I need before I go, so I tend to wing it and just write down main things.

I don't write the list everyone else does. Then if they complain that I didn't buy what they wanted I ask, "Was it on the list?" My husband went bananas because I didn't buy bananas. They weren't on the list.
