I was a single mom and when I started dating again I would tell them that I was a package deal. If you want me you also get my kids. Left a guy who didn't like my son and we were going to get married. (he had kids as well)
Your kids are your blood and are there forever, guys are a dime a dozen.
As hard as times were back then, giving up my kids was never an option.

i think that is a very stupid and ignorant thing to do because the kids are blood and family but the other half is the one causing the problem and if the other half actually really loved the mum of the kids they would not care about having someone else's kids

not much! Its a real shame that a guy entering into a relationship with a single mom, doesn't want to be around or want to take an active interest in raising the children of another male.
To be honest with you, this wouldn't bother me in the least. If I really loved the lady and wanted to be with her, then her having children from a previous marriage wouldn't stop me, not at all. In fact, I would do everything for those children while they were growing up that I would do for my own children. I look at it this way: Children are children, they didn't ask to be brought into this world, and now that they are here, I feel its my job as a mature and responsible adult to do everything that I can to make their lives on this planet as comfortable and pleasant as possible, simply meaning, that I would raise the children as my own.
Not much, but perhaps the kids would be better off being adopted by someone that loves them and can nurture them rather being thought of as a burden and neglected. Shame on the parents and dump the significant other.
