Why do people like Vinyl Records... I mean I kind of understand, they are vintag!

Question: ...last time you were about to watch a movie, and your friend said, "Hey I don't want to watch this on DVD! Do you have a VHS or perhaps a Beta verison?"

Laser discs have my heart.

LOL, I still use projectors... it's more fun that way.

I buy vinyl still, but only for spinning... not because I like listening to crackling music.

lol
now you're making me feel old...........dirty bird...........

most ppl like something because of the memory or feeling it invokes.......my opinion ;)

i have a vcr//dvd dual tv and i dont believe i have ever even used the vcr part.

i buy them because i like to "d.j. it up...old school"...it's a weekend activity......and those new CD turntables cost too much.....i got tons of VHS movies too...got them @ the Goodwill baby!!! $1.25 apiece

3 reasons..

1-i like the crackly sound.
2- they are very good for throwing at Zombies that have made it into your backyard*.
3-the 45's make EXCELLENT alien ears, if you shove your Real ears thru the hole in the middle.(note: it's best if you jump on your bed after doing this. )

I don't own any vinyl (records, that is) myself but my brothers do and so does my honey. Some of the vinyl you can't find on CD - either it hasn't been released yet, and/or it probably won't be in the future.

(I'm in search of record from my childhood - can't find it on CD anywhere and can't find any record (of the record) either. Maybe I'm dreaming it up...)

Plus - there were really cool liner notes and artwork that went with vinyl records. Liner notes that you don't have to break out the magnifying glass to read!

Did you ever try and clean the er... seeds out of something on a CD cover? Those old double cover albums came in mighty handy!

My Friends were forced to replace all of their VHS collection when I got them back for replacing my deodorant with cream cheese by recording 30 second snippets of gay porn on all of their movies....

I keep vinyl around for two reasons

1) It makes me look cultured and interesting....(Trust me...I can use all the help I can get)

2) Anyone who has seen the Movie Shawn of the Dead can attest to this....I keep my Vinyl collection for self defense should we ever encounter a "walking dead" infestation...

Sound quality? Bah....have you ever tried to scratch a CD?? you don't get that comical "reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch" needle being pulled across a record....at ALL!!

Cuz vinyl records don't get jammed in your record player after you've played them 100 times.

VHS tapes, on the other hand... Ugh! Don't get me started! They will NEVER come back in style!
