The dictionary defines a friend as someone you know, like and trust.?!

Question: Is that it or is there more to it?

Answers: Is that it or is there more to it?

like, know, love, trust, respect, etc. IDK for sure how to define a friend but I'll share with you this list.

Differences between a hang out BUDDY and a real FRIEND:

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Almost never ask for food.
REAL FRIENDS: Always bring the food.

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Will say "hello".
REAL FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
REAL FRIENDS: May call your parents Mom and Dad

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Have never seen you cry.
REAL FRIENDS: Cry with you.

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
REAL FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing and just being together, and then help you clean up.

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Know a few things about you.
REAL FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Will leave you behind if that's what the crowd is doing.
REAL FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds' butt's that left you.

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Would knock on your door.
REAL FRIENDS: Walk right in and say, "I'm home!"

HANG OUT BUDDIES: Are for a while.
REAL FRIENDS: Are for life.

I will add "someone who loves you for who you are not for how you look".

That's a generic definition. There's a lot more to it. A friend loves you for who you are, takes the good with the bad, is not jealous nor competitive, is happy for you when you are happy, sad when you are sad, and will help you move! ha!

my friends back me when I need it & I do the same. We talk about the things we can't say to everyone else. We see eye to eye on most subjects but don't have agree on everything. We truly accept each other.

Also, I like you avatar. GO COLTS!

That's it. BUT you have to be a friend before you can make and trust a friend.

That sums it up for me. Oh except there missing respect and love.

That's a little too much. I don't trust all my friends.

a friend is someone you can trust, so is loyalty, dependability, mutual respect, integrity, non judgmental...shall i go on???
