Poll: What do you think about people when they send you a thank you email for pi!
Question: Very sweet...although technically unnecessary, since the comment itself was thank you enough. ^_^ But it is necessary to say thank you to the person you choose for best answer...since they're the ones that took the time to answer the question.
But I'm all for thank yous. ;P God knows the world could do with a lot more of those types of people.

I think its weird, but I don't think too much about it. I don't answer them back unless I feel compelled to.

I didn't know you could do that! Now I feel as though I've been rude to all those lovely people who chose my answer as Best. What would Miss Manners say about my horribly rude behavior? I am so ashamed.

I think it's kind and considerate to take some time out of your day to thank someone.

i've only just started allowing email....i got one yesterday thanking me and i thought it was so sweet,nice gesture:)

You should never disapprove of an expression of gratitude.
Just say, "You're welcome" and leave it at that.
That is very nice but it's nice when they leave the comment on the post also.
