How old were you when you bought your first home?!
Question: I was 22. My folks instilled upon me to save as much money as I could, which I did while in the Army, and buy a home as soon as possible. It wasn't easy! This was in south L.A.! I bought my first house in 1976 and sold it exactly one year later for a $13,000 profit. That was about $5000 more then I made working. I quickly turned around and bought another house in a neighborhood I liked. I still own that house and it is worth 12 times what I paid for it. I now own it outright.
