When you are on the phone?!

Question: and going through one of those "If you want "x" please press one. If you want "y" please press two." Do you hold the phone out in your face and press the buttons or do you keep putting it back to your ear and then looking at the phone to press the button? I find I keep putting it to my ear then have to look at it to press the button lol silly huh!?

hehe
I usually look at it too.
but if I have to push 3452 buttons I get tired of looking at it and I just hold my thumb on the buttons and push them without looking.
I really SHOULD know where they are by now ...
sometimes I get so bored I do it with my toes ...
;O)

I look at the phone and then put it back to my ear when I have pressed the button.

ooo i know to talk..

I do the same

I pull away and press then put it back to my ear quickly so I don't miss anything she says.

Yes I do the same too.
Doesn't make you mad though when you have to press 1 for English!
This is America isn't it?
Or did I miss something again!

I look at the phone like it is deliberately attempting to drive me crazy, curse up a blue streak, put the phone to my ear again to see if it is still giving me psychotic directions, toss the phone around the room a bit, then try to comply with the idiotic advice while holding the phone to my ear once again to see if it still works.

And one of the worst companies to deal with for getting you to chase yourself in circles while keeping you on long holds? THAT'S RIGHT, IT'S THE PHONE COMPANY!!!!!!!

Don't bother trying to write a letter to the $^%&%$s because they will not read it. I am tempted to take them to court because there is no way to win with them. Why don't these businesses and public services do business on the net? And don't tell me that they already do - they will only let you do certain things on line and do not allow you to resolve real problems.

Hold the phone to my face, and feel for the number 5 which always has a bump on it, then I know where everything is.

look at the phone then put it back to my ear

i put it on speaker so i do not have to keep pulling t away from my ear and looking at it. i guess i do it the lazy way.

I still have a rotary dial phone.... sheesh

why don't you put the speaker on...

I usually put it down in disgust as I have to wait a lifetime to get through.

look press listen

I put it at my ear and pull it away to find the button too.. Im afraid they might say something and i wont hear it..

If the buttons are on the hand-set, I turn the volume up and just keep it in front of me until I'm done. At work, I hold the phone between my shoulder and ear, push buttons with one hand and do some other work with the other hand. Regardless, when I have to go through the pain of dealing with the prompts, there are usually some choice words flying out of my mouth. Yep, I'm a multi-tasker:)

Did I also mention a bit impatient?
